It announced the Department of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs in Sharjah, the emirate’s readiness for the rainy season taking place during the current period, in coordination with the municipalities and municipal councils and official bodies concerned, and ended completely preparations.
Said Salim Mohammed Al Naqbi, Member of the Executive Board and head of the department, said that all regions of Sharjah dramatically ready to rainfall, and has taken measures and preparations for any emergency in any region in the emirate, where he embarked on the relevant committees, take measures to avoiding water rafting, and disposal of aphid.
He added that the main objectives of the teams working in the municipalities and municipal councils, summed up in three axes include implementation of technical preparations before the rainy season, in coordination with strategic partners, the direct supervision of the discharges during precipitation and beyond, and the work of the ongoing studies of the facts and field analysis of their data and raise the technical recommendations to address some of the sites affected, stressing its willingness to tackle the problems first hand.
Naqbi and stressed the importance of coordination with other departments and institutions in this area, especially the Sharjah Police and the Department of Works, thus contributing to the preservation of the civilized face of the emirate, and the traffic flow at the fall of the large amounts of rain.
He pointed out that preparations begin before the onset of winter, and the competent departments in multi-functional teams, implementation of special and intensive maintenance programs for the disposal of surface and rainwater.
